The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
