Moses said, "My Lord! open up my heart, 25 And ease my task for me; 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Aaron my brother 30 Strengthen me through him 31 and let him share my task, 32 So that we should glorify Thee much, 33 And much remember Thee. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 God said, "You have been granted your request, Moses." 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 Your sister went to them and said, "May I show you someone who will nurse this child?" We returned you to your mother to make her rejoice and forget her grief. You slew a man and We saved you from trouble. We tried you through various trials. Then you stayed some years with the people of Midian (Shu'ayb and his family) and after that you came back to Egypt as was ordained. 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 Then go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious. 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate. 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
