Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 O my Lord, do not put me among the harmdoing people' 94 Surely We are able to show you what We warn them against. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is the best, We are the Best Knower of that which they utter. 96 And say: "My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayatin (devils). 97 And I seek refuge with Thee, my Lord! lest they may be present with me. 98 Until, when death comes to one of them (those who join partners with Allah), he says: "My Lord! Send me back, 99 that I have left behind. I am likely to do good." Nay, it is merely a word that he is uttering. There is a barrier behind all of them (who are dead) until the Day when they will be raised up. 100 When the trumpet blast is sounded no ties of lineage will hold among them, nor will they ask after one another. 101 Then he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, 102 But those whose scales weigh light will have ruined their souls; in Hell will they abide. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and therein they will grin, with displaced lips (disfigured). 104 (We shall say): 'Were My verses not recited to you, and did you not belie them' 105 They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! 106 “Our Lord, remove us from hell – then if we do the same, we are the unjust.” 107 [But] He will say: "Away with you into this [ignominy]! And speak no more unto Me! 108 Verily there was a party of My bondmen who said: our Lord! we have believed, wherefore forgive us and have mercy upon us, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones! 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 “Indeed this day I have rewarded them for their endurance, so that it is they who are the successful.” 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." 113 He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. 114 "Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 God is the most exalted King and the Supreme Truth. He is the only God and the Lord of the Gracious Throne. 116 And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kafirun (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will not be successful. 117 And (O Muhammad) say: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for Thou art Best of all who show mercy. 118
