Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
