Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
