NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens they will question 40 About the guilty: 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
