Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the swift scatterers 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
