Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 Then do not, O Lord, put me among the sinners." 94 And indeed We are Able to show you the promise they are given. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter. 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 and I take refuge in Thee, O my Lord, lest they attend me.' 98 Until when death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord, send me back; 99 "So that I may do good in that which I have left behind!" No! It is but a word that he speaks, and behind them is Barzakh (a barrier) until the Day when they will be resurrected. 100 And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 And they whose weight [of righteousness] is heavy in the balance - it is they, they who will have attained to a happy state; 102 And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell 103 Their faces will be scorched by flames, and they will grin and scowl within it. 104 [And God will say:] "Were not My messages conveyed unto you, and were you [not] wont to give them the lie?" 105 They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray. 106 O our Sustainer! Cause us to come out of this [suffering] - and then, if ever We revert [to sinning,] may we truly be [deemed] evildoers!" 107 He will say: 'Slink there in it and do not speak to Me' 108 "Indeed there was a group among My bondmen who said, 'Our Lord! We have accepted faith, therefore forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the Best Among The Merciful.' ” 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 I have rewarded them this day for they were constant, and they have come to attainment." 111 He will say: How many years did you tarry in the earth? 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 He will say: "You stayed only for a while, if you only knew that. 114 "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King! there is no god but he, Lord of the Throne honoured. 116 If anyone invokes, besides Allah, Any other god, he has no authority therefor; and his reckoning will be only with his Lord! and verily the Unbelievers will fail to win through! 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
