And assuredly We have created human being from ringing clay of loam moulded. 26 whereas the invisible beings We had created, [long] before that, out of the fire of scorching winds. 27 But when your Lord said to the angels: "I am verily going to create a human being from fermented clay dried tingling hard; 28 When I have formed him and breathed My spirit into him, fall down in prostration before him," 29 All the angels prostrated before Adam 30 Except Iblis. He refused to bow with the adorers. 31 He said: 'iblis, what is the matter with you, that you do you not prostrate yourself' 32 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am not the one to prostrate myself to a human being, whom You created from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud." 33 God told him, "Get out of the garden; you are rejected 34 A curse shall be on you till the Day of Recompense' 35 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 36 Allah said: "For sure you are granted respite 37 "Till the Day of the Time appointed." 38 [Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all 39 "Except Thy servants among them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 40 [Allah] said, "This is a path [of return] to Me [that is] straight. 41 and you have no authority over My servants except the erring ones who follow you. 42 And surely Hell is the promised place of them all: 43 There are seven gates in it, and to each gate a portion of them has been allotted. 44
