O Ye who believe! when ye meet a party, stand firm and remember Allah much, that haply ye may fare well. 45 And obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not dispute and [thus] lose courage and [then] your strength would depart; and be patient. Indeed, Allah is with the patient. 46 Do not be like those who left their homes full of conceit and showing off to others. They debar others from the path of God: but God has knowledge of all their actions. 47 And recall what time the Satan made their works fair-seeming unto them and said: there is none of mankind to overcome you today, and verily I am your neighbour. Then when the two parties faced each other, he turned on his heels, and said: verily I am quit of you, verily I behold that which ye behold not; verily I fear Allah: and Allah is severe in retribution. 48
