And certainly We sent Musa with Our communications and a clear authority, 96 To Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs, but they followed the command of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the command of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) was no right guide. 97 He shall lead his people on the resurrection day, and bring them down to the fire; and evil the place to which they are brought. 98 They were pursued by a curse in this (deceiving life of this world) and (so they will be pursued by a curse) on the Day of Resurrection. How bad is the curse (in this world) pursued by another curse (in the Hereafter). 99 We relate to you such accounts of earlier towns: some of them are still standing; while others have ceased to exist; 100 for, no wrong did We do to them, but it was they who wronged themselves. And when thy Sustainer's judgment came to pass, those deities of theirs which they had been wont to invoke instead of God proved of no avail whatever to them, and brought them no more than utter perdition. 101 And even such is the overtaking of thy Lord when He overtaketh the cities while they are wrong-doers; verily His overtaking is afflictive, severe. 102 In this there is, certainly, a lesson for those who fear the torment of the next life in which all people will be gathered together 103 We shall not postpone it except until a counted term. 104 On the Day of Judgment no one will speak without the permission of God. Some will be condemned and others blessed. 105 As for those who are wretched, they will be in the Fire, sighing in a high and low tone. 106 and there they shall live for ever, as long as the heavens and the earth endure, and as your Lord wills. Indeed, your Lord accomplishes whatsoever He will. 107 ۞ And as for those who will be glad (that day) they will be in the Garden, abiding there so long as the heavens and the earth endure save for that which thy Lord willeth: a gift unfailing. 108 So be not thou in doubt concerning that which these (folk) worship. They worship only as their fathers worshipped aforetime. Lo! we shall pay them their whole due unabated. 109
