Whatever of misfortune striketh you, it is what your right hands have earned. And He forgiveth much. 30 And ye cannot frustrate His punishment in the earth; and there is for you beside Allah neither protector nor helper. 31 And among His Signs are the ships, in the sea, like mountains. 32 If He willed, He could still the wind, and they would remain motionless on its surface. Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful. 33 Or, He wrecks them for what they have earned, but He pardons a lot. 34 those who dispute Our signs shall learn that they have no escape. 35 Whatever you have been given is only a temporary provision of this life, but that which is with God is better and more lasting for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord; 36 and who shun the more heinous sins and abominations; and who, whenever they are moved to anger, readily forgive; 37 Who obey the commands of their Lord and fulfil their devotional obligations, whose affairs are settled by mutual consultation, who spend of what We have given them, 38 and who, when insolence visits them, do help themselves -- 39 Let harm be requited by an equal harm. But whoever pardons and amends will find his reward with God. He does not love the wrongdoers. 40 There is no blame against him who avenges himself after he has been wronged. 41 The way is only open against those who do wrong to the people, and are insolent in the earth wrongfully; there awaits them a painful chastisement. 42 But surely he who bears patiently and is forgiving -- surely that is true constancy. 43
