And when the messengers came unto the family of Lot, 61 He said: "You are people I do not know." 62 'No' they replied: 'We bring you (news) of that concerning which they were doubting. 63 and we have come to you with the truth, and surely we are truthful, 64 Therefore go forth with your followers in a part of the night and yourself follow their rear, and let not any one of you turn round, and go forth whither you are commanded. 65 And We decreed unto him this commandment because the last of those was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 And the people of the town came rejoicing. 67 He said: Lo! they are my guests. Affront me not! 68 "And fear Allah and disgrace me not." 69 They (people of the city) said: "Did we not forbid you to entertain (or protect) any of the 'Alamin (people, foreigners, strangers, etc. from us)?" 70 He said: These are my daughters, if you will do (aught). 71 By your life! In their drunkenness they were truly blind. 72 So the rumbling overtook them (while) entering upon the time of sunrise; 73 and We turned it uppermost nethermost and rained on it stones of baked clay. 74 Herein are really signs for those who discern. 75 That town lies on a road which still exists. 76 surely in that is a sign for believers. 77 And the people of Aykah were also wrong-doers. 78 On them, too, We took vengeance, and they are both on a clear roadway. 79
