Forgiver (Ghaafer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ha. Mim. 1 This Book is a revelation from Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing; 2 Forgiver of sin and Acceptor of repentance, severe in chastisement, Lord of Power. There is no god but He; unto Him is the journeying. 3 No one disputes the revelations of the Lord except the disbelievers. Let not their activities in the land deceive you. 4 The people of Noah before them also cried lies, and the parties after them; every nation purposed against their Messenger to seize him, and disputed with falsehood that they might rebut thereby the truth. Then I seized them; and how was My retribution! 5 The word of your Lord that the disbelievers will be the dwellers of hell fire has already been decreed. 6 Those* who bear the Throne, and those who are around it, say the Purity of their Lord while praising Him, and they believe in Him and seek forgiveness for the believers; “O Our Lord! Your mercy and knowledge encompass all things, therefore forgive those who repented and followed Your path, and save them from the punishment of hell.” (* The angels.) 7 Our Lord! make them enter the Everlasting Gardens which Thou hast promised them, and also such of their fathers and their spouses and their offspring as verify Thou: Thou art the Mighty, the Wise. 8 And guard them against evil deeds; whomsoever Thou guardest against evil deeds on that day, on him Thou hast had mercy; and that is indeed the mighty triumph. 9
