And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 Then the shout took hold of them in the early morn. 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 and who have broken the Scripture into fragments -- 91 so by your Lord, We will question them all 92 As to what they did. 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
