[Remember] when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was disease said, "Their religion has deluded those [Muslims]." But whoever relies upon Allah - then indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise. 49 If you could only see the infidels as the angels draw away their souls and strike their faces and their backs, (saying): "Taste the torment of burning 50 “This is the recompense of what your own hands have sent ahead, and Allah does not oppress His bondmen.” 51 Their case is like that of Pharaoh's people, and of those before them, who denied the revelations of God, and were punished for their sins by God, and God is all powerful and Severe His punishment. 52 This is because Allah does not change the favour He has bestowed upon any people until they first change themselves, and indeed Allah is All Hearing, All Knowing. 53 Like the ways of Firaun’s people and those before them; they denied the signs of Allah – We therefore destroyed them on account of their sins and We drowned the people of Firaun; and they all were unjust. 54 Verily, the vilest creatures in the sight of God are those who are bent on denying the truth and therefore do not believe. 55 As for those with whom you have made a treaty and who abrogate it every time, and do not fear God, 56 if thou find them at war [with you,] make of them a fearsome example for those who follow them, so that they might take it to heart; 57 If you apprehend treachery from a people (with whom you have a treaty), retaliate by breaking off (relations) with them, for God does not like those who are treacherous. 58
