The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta-Sin. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a Book luminous. 1 A guidance and glad tidings unto the believers. 2 Those who keep the prayer established and pay the charity and are certain of the Hereafter. 3 Verily those who believe not in the Hereafter - fairseeming unto them We have made their works, so that they wander perplexed. 4 Those are they for whom shall be an evil torment. And in the Hereafter they shall be the greatest losers. 5 You have been conveyed the Qur'an from One all-wise and all-knowing. 6 Recall what time Musa said unto his household: verily I perceive a fire afar; I shall forthwith bring you tidings thereof, or bring unto you a brand lighted therefrom, haply ye may warm yourselves. 7 But when he came to it, he was called: "Blessed is whosoever is in the fire, and whosoever is round about it! And glorified be Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 8 O Musa! verily it is I, Allah, the Mighty the Wise! 9 Throw down your staff." But when he saw it moving like a snake, he turned and fled. "Moses, do not be afraid! The messengers need have no fear in My presence; 10 "Except him who has done wrong and afterwards has changed evil for good, then surely, I am Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 11 Put your hand inside your collar and it will come out luminous without evil? among the nine signs to Pharaoh and his nation, indeed they were an impious nation' 12 And when Our signs came as distinct proofs, they said: "This is only magic." 13 and they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, wrongfully and out of pride. Behold, how was the end of the workers of corruption! 14
