The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Woe to the diminishers, 1 Those who when they take the measure from others, take it in full! 2 But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss. 3 Do they not realize that they will be resurrected 4 On a grievous day, 5 when mankind will stand before the Lord of the Universe? 6 No indeed; the Book of the libertines is in Sijjin; 7 And what will make you know what Sijjin is? 8 it is a written record. 9 Woe on that Day unto the beliers 10 and those who have rejected the Day of Judgment. 11 for, none gives the lie to it but such as are wont to transgress against all that is [and are] immersed in sin: 12 When Our verses are recited to him, he says: 'Fictitious tales of the ancients' 13 Nay! But on their hearts is the Ran (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn. 14 No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned. 15 Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire. 16 and who will be told, "This is what you had called a lie". 17 However, the records of the deeds of the virtuous ones will certainly be in Illiyin. 18 and what shall teach thee what is Illiyun? 19 It is a comprehensively written Book (of records). 20 The ones nearest to God will bring it to public. 21 Verily the virtuous shall be in Delight, 22 On thrones, they shall gaze; 23 You shall see upon their faces the glow of bliss. 24 They will be given to drink pure sealed wine. 25 which have the fragrance of musk. This is the kind of place for which one should really aspire. 26 It (that wine) will be mixed with Tasnim. 27 a fountain at which the chosen ones shall drink. 28 Behold, the wicked were wont to laugh at the believers: 29 When passing by them, they would wink at one another 30 and whenever they return to people of their own kind, they return full of jests; 31 And when they saw them, they said: "Verily! These have indeed gone astray!" 32 And withal, they have no call to watch over [the beliefs of] others... 33 Wherefore Today, those who believed at the infidels are laughing, 34 On thrones, they will look. 35 Will not the Unbelievers have been paid back for what they did? 36
