Those before them did also plot (against Allah's Way): but Allah took their structures from their foundations, and the roof fell down on them from above; and the Wrath seized them from directions they did not perceive. 26 Then on the Day of Resurrection He will disgrace them, and say, "Where are My partners for whose sake you opposed [My guidance]?" Those given knowledge will say, "This Day humiliation and affliction will surely befall those who have been denying the truth." 27 the same unbelievers who, when the angels seize them and cause them to die while they are engaged in wrong-doing, they will proffer their submission saying: "We were engaged in no evil." (The angels will answer them): "Surely Allah knows well all that you did. 28 Therefore enter the gates of hell, to abide therein; so certainly evil is the dwelling place of the proud. 29 ۞ And when it is said unto those who fear: what is it that your Lord hath sent down? They say: that which is better. For those who do good is good in this world, and the dwelling of the Hereafter is better. Excellent is the dwelling of the God-fearing! 30 They will enter perennial gardens with streams of water and all they wish. Thus will the pious and devout be rewarded. 31 Those whom the angels cause to die in a good state, saying: Peace be on you: enter the garden for what you did. 32 Do they (the disbelievers and polytheists) await but that the angels should come to them [to take away their souls (at death)], or there should come the command (i.e. the torment or the Day of Resurrection) of your Lord? Thus did those before them. And Allah wronged them not, but they used to wrong themselves. 33 But the evil results of their deeds overtook them, and that very (Wrath) at which they had scoffed hemmed them in. 34
