Do not kill your children because you fear poverty. We will provide for you and them. Killing them is a great sin. 31 Do not draw near to fornication, for it is an indecency, and its way is evil. 32 And do not kill any one whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause, and whoever is slain unjustly, We have indeed given to his heir authority, so let him not exceed the just limits in slaying; surely he is aided. 33 And draw not near to the property of the orphan except in a goodly way till he attains his maturity and fulfill the promise; surely (every) promise shall be questioned about. 34 And give full measures when ye measure and weigh with an even balance that is good, and the best interpretation. 35 (O man), follow not that whereof thou hast no knowledge. Lo! the hearing and the sight and the heart - of each of these it will be asked. 36 And do not go about in the land exultingly, for you cannot cut through the earth nor reach the mountains in height. 37 All that is evil in the sight of your Lord, and is detestable. 38 This is of what your Lord has revealed to you of wisdom, and do not associate any other god with Allah lest you should be thrown into hell, blamed, cast away. 39 Then, has your Lord chosen you for [having] sons and taken from among the angels daughters? Indeed, you say a grave saying. 40
