We have given you various facts (about the Truth in this Quran) so that they (unbelievers) would take heed, but this has only increased their aversion (to the truth). 41 Say: If there were with Him gods as they say, then certainly they would have been able to seek a way to the Lord of power. 42 Exaltations be to Him! High indeed be He exalted above what they say! 43 There hallow Him the seven heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein. And naught there is but halloweth His praise, but ye understand not their hallowing; verily He is ever Forbearing, Forgiving. 44 When thou recitest the Koran, We place between thee, and those who do not believe in the world to come, a curtain obstructing, 45 And We have put coverings over their hearts lest, they should understand it (the Quran), and in their ears deafness. And when you make mention of your Lord Alone [La ilaha ill-Allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah) Islamic Monotheism] in the Quran, they turn on their backs, fleeing in extreme dislikeness. 46 We are fully aware of what they are listening for when they listen to thee: for when they are secluded among themselves, lo! these wrongdoers say [unto one another,] "If you were to follow [Muhammad, you would follow] only a man bewitched!" 47 Behold! how they propound similitudes for thee! They have strayed and cannot find a way. 48 They say: "What! when we are reduced to bones and dust, should we really be raised up (to be) a new creation?" 49 (Muhammad), say "Yes, even if you become rocks, iron, 50 ۞ or some creation yet more monstrous in your minds!' Then they will say, 'Who will bring us back?' Say: 'He who originated you the first time.' Then they will shake their heads at thee, and they will say, 'When will it be?' Say: 'It is possible that it may be nigh, 51 “The day when He will call you and you will come praising Him, thinking you have stayed only a little.” 52
