Man asks, "When I am once dead, shall I be raised to life?" 66 But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing? 67 Now, by thy Lord, We shall surely muster them, and the Satans, then We shall parade them about Gehenna hobbling on their knees. 68 Then We shall pluck out from every sect whichever of them was most stubborn in rebellion to the Beneficent. 69 We alone know who deserves most to be burned therein. 70 Not one of you there is, but he shall go down to it; that for thy Lord is a thing decreed, determined. 71 Then We shall deliver those that feared Allah and leave the wrong-doers there on their knees. 72 When Our lucid revelations are read out to them, the infidels say to those who believe: "Which of the two groups is better in standing, and whose company is more excellent?" 73 But how many (countless) generations before them have we destroyed, who were even better in equipment and in glitter to the eye? 74 Say: "Ar-Rahman extends the life of those who are astray until they come to realise what had been promised them was either (physical) affliction or (the terror) of Resurrection. Then will they know who is worse in position, and who is weak in supporters. 75 And Allah increases those who were guided, in guidance, and the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for recourse. 76 Hast thou seen him who disbelieveth in Our revelations and saith: Assuredly I shall be given wealth and children? 77 Has he known the unseen or has he taken a covenant from the Most Beneficent (Allah)? 78 No! We will record what he says and extend for him from the punishment extensively. 79 And We will inherit of him what he says, and he shall come to Us alone. 80 And they have taken (for worship) gods other than Allah, to give them power and glory! 81 But nay! [On Judgment Day] these [very objects of adoration] will disavow the worship that was paid to them, and will turn against those [who had worshipped them]! 82
