(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 And ease my task for me; 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 that we may abundantly extol Your glory; 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 God said, "You have been granted your request, Moses." 36 We had already shown you favor 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 Answered He: "Fear not! Verily, I shall be with you two, hearing and seeing [all]. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
