The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
118 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa') before Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours). 9 Those are the inheritors 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
