Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
