Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 And verily We are Able to show thee that which We have promised them. 95 Repel evil with that which is best: We are well acquainted with the things they say. 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 Until when death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord, send me back; 99 Haply I may do good in that which I have left. By no means! it is a (mere) word that he speaks; and before them is a barrier until the day they are raised. 100 So when the trumpet is blown, there shall be no ties of relationship between them on that day, nor shall they ask of each other. 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide. 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. 106 "Our Lord! Bring us out of this; if ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be Zalimun: (polytheists, oppressors, unjust, and wrong-doers, etc.)." 107 He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me. 108 You are those that when a party of My servants said: 'Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful,' 109 But you took them for a laughing-stock, till they made you forget My remembrance, mocking at them. 110 On this day I have given them their reward for their exercising patience and it is they who have triumphed." 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will say, “We stayed a day or part of a day, so ask those who keep count.” 113 He will say, “You stayed but only a little, if you knew.” 114 Did you think that We had created you for a playful purpose and that you were not to return to Us?" 115 God is the most exalted King and the Supreme Truth. He is the only God and the Lord of the Gracious Throne. 116 One who worships things besides God has no proof of the authority of such things. God is certainly keeping the record of his deeds. The unbelievers will not have everlasting happiness. 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
