Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 We have certainly the power to make you see what We have promised them. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege. 96 And pray: "My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the suggestions of the evil ones; 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 When death comes to any of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 so that perhaps I shall act righteously for the rest of my life." Although he will say so but his wish will never come true. After death they will be behind a barrier until the day of their resurrection. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally. 103 The fire will scorch their faces and they will be groaning therein in pain. 104 (We shall say): 'Were My verses not recited to you, and did you not belie them' 105 They will answer, "Lord, misfortune overcame us and we became an erring people. 106 Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers. 107 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me. 108 "A part of My servants there was, who used to pray 'our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 109 But you ridiculed them. So much so that out of (spite) for them you forgot to remember Me and laughed at them. 110 I have rewarded them this day for they were constant, and they have come to attainment." 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep account." 113 He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. 114 Did you think that We had created you for a playful purpose and that you were not to return to Us?" 115 Now Allah be Exalted, the True King! There is no Allah save Him, the Lord of the Throne of Grace. 116 And whoever invokes with Allah another god-- he has no proof of this-- his reckoning is only with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not be successful. 117 And say, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful." 118
