Thus did We deliver the Children of Israel from the humiliating chastisement, 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial. 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 “Therefore bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!” 36 Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 It was not in idle sport that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 Assuredly the Day of Decision is the term for all of them, 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
