The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger sent to you. 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 so fear God and obey me." 110 ۞ They replied: 'Are we to believe you whom the lowliest follow' 111 He said, 'What knowledge have I of that they have been doing? 112 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. 113 I am certainly not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am nothing but a plain warner." 115 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Noah, thou shalt assuredly be one of the stoned.' 116 He said: "My Lord! Verily, my people have belied me. 117 “Therefore make a decisive judgement between me and them, and rescue me and the believers along with me.” 118 So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 Then We drowned the rest thereafter. 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
