1/4 Hizb 38
< random >
The dwellers in the wood (of Midian) denied the messengers (of Allah), 176 when their brother Shu'ayb said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 "So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 weigh with an even balance 182 and diminish not the goods of the people, and do not mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 And fear He who created you and the former creation." 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 "Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!" 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 190 And most surely your Lord is Mighty, the Merciful. 191
