The unbelievers say: 'When we and our fathers are turned to dust, shall we be brought forth? 67 We were told about this and so were our forefathers before us. But these are no more than fairy tales that have been recounted from ancient times." 68 Say, "Travel through the land and see how terrible was the end of the criminal ones". 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 And [when] they ask, "When is this promise [of resurrection] to be fulfilled? [Answer this, O you who believe in it,] if you are men of truth!" 71 say thou: "It may well be that something of that which [in your ignorance] you so hastily demand has already drawn close unto you." 72 Indeed Your Lord is exceedingly bountiful to mankind. Yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 And verily thy Lord knoweth all that their hearts do hide. As well as all that they reveal. 74 And there is nothing concealed in the heaven and the earth but it is in a clear book. 75 Surely, this Koran relates to the Children of Israel most of that which they are at variance. 76 It is a guidance and a mercy to believers. 77 Verily, [O believer,] thy Sustainer will judge between them in His wisdom - for He alone is almighty, all-knowing. 78 So put thy trust in Allah: for thou art on (the path of) manifest Truth. 79 Surely you do not make the dead to hear, and you do not make the deaf to hear the call when they go back retreating. 80 Nor canst thou be a guide to the blind, (to prevent them) from straying: only those wilt thou get to listen who believe in Our Signs, and they will bow in Islam. 81 ۞ And when the Word (promise) appears upon them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth to speak to them – because the people were not accepting faith in Our signs. (This beast will rise from the earth, when the Last Day draws near.) 82
