The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of the sun and its light 1 and by the moon as it follows it, 2 And by oath of the day when it reveals it 3 By the Night as it conceals it; 4 By the Firmament and its (wonderful) structure; 5 And the earth and Him Who spread it, 6 And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it 7 Then He inspired it to understand what is right and wrong for it; 8 prosperous is he who purified it, 9 And he who confines it will surely come to grief. 10 The Thamud denied (the truth) in their perverseness 11 when that most hapless wretch from among them rushed forward [to commit his evil deed,] 12 Then the apostle of Allah said unto them: beware of the she-camel of Allah and her drink. 13 But they rejected his statement as a lie and hamstrung the she-camel. For that crime their Lord rumbled down upon them, utterly razing them to the ground. 14 And He feared not the consequence thereof 15
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
