The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
