The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
