He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 And what could let you know? Perhaps he (comes to hear you) to be purified. 3 (He might) remember, and the Reminder might profit him. 4 Yet you pay attention 5 To him do you address yourself. 6 Whereas it is not on thee that he is not cleansed. 7 but as for one who comes to you, eagerly 8 And with fear (in his heart), 9 you pay him no heed. 10 Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment, 11 So whoso wills may give heed to it. 12 upon pages high-honoured, 13 most exalted and purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 [Does man ever consider] out of what substance [God] creates him? 18 Out of a sperm-drop did He create him and then determined a measure for him, 19 Then He makes the Path easy for him; 20 Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, 21 Then He will raise him up again when He please. 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 We send down abundant water, 25 Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], 26 Thereby produced grain in it. 27 And grapes and fodder, 28 And olive and palm trees 29 and dense orchards, 30 and fruits and pastures 31 (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 32 And when the Blast shall sound, 33 Man will fly from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 for on that day everyone will be completely engrossed in his own concerns. 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 Laughing and full of joy, 39 And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust. 40 Dust shall cover them 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
