The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 surely, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
