۞ Gather together the evildoers, their wives, and that they were worshipping, 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 indeed, on that Day they will surrender themselves. 26 And some of them inclined towards others, mutually questioning. 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 "Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion! 30 The statement of Our Lord is realized against us, and we are tasting it, 31 So we led you astray, for we ourselves were erring. 32 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 And to say: What! shall we indeed give up our gods for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom - 38 And be rewarded but only for what you had done, 39 But Allah's chosen servants (shall be spared this woeful end). 40 For them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits; and they will be honoured. 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 on couches facing each other. 44 A drink will be passed round among them from a flowing spring: 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 (Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved. 49 They will go to one another asking each other questions. 50 A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth] 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 ‘That when we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, that we will either be rewarded or punished?’ 53 [And] he adds: "Would you like to look [and see him]?" 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 'By Allah' he will say, 'you almost destroyed me! 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 What then, shall we not die 58 Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished? 59 Verily, this - this indeed - is the triumph supreme!" 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum? 62 Truly We have made it (as) a trail for the Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers, wrong-doers, etc.). 63 It is a tree that comes forth in the root of Hell; 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 then on top of it they have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then their return will be to the same blazing Hell. 68 Verily they found their fathers gone astray. 69 so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps. 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 And indeed We sent among them warners (Messengers); 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
