۞ Muster those who did evil, their wives, and that they were serving, 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 and halt them [there]!" [And then,] behold, they shall be asked, 24 "How is it that [now] you cannot succour one another?" 25 They will submit to questioning then, 26 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 And we had over you no authority, but ye were a people exorbitant. 30 The sentence of our Lord has come true for us. We have certainly to taste (the punishment), 31 "We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray." 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah' they were always proud 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 They will be seated upon couches set face to face; 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof), 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 so delicate as the hidden peel under an egg's shell. 49 Then shall some of them advance to others, questioning each other. 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, are we indeed going to be requited? 53 (The man) said: "Will you look down?" 54 Then he will look down and see him in the midst of the Flaming Fire. 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 Then, are we not to die 58 [again,] beyond our previous death, and that we shall never [again] be made to suffer? 59 Verily this is the supreme achievement! 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 So indeed they will eat from it, and fill their bellies with it. 66 And behold, above all this they will be confounded with burning despair! 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 for, behold, they found their forebears on a wrong way, 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 And assuredly there went stray before them many of the ancients. 71 And assuredly We sent among them warners. 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74
