Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
