We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night.
