Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 The fish then swallowed him and he blamed himself. (For not waiting for Allah’s command.) 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 and we glorify God". 166 And there were those who said, 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
