Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 can lure away from God any 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 we are the rangers, 165 we are they that give glory. 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
