Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
