Remember also Our servant Job; when he called to his Lord, 'Behold, Satan has visited me with weariness and chastisement.' 41 (We commanded him): “Stamp your foot on earth, and here is cool water to wash with and to drink.” 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 And take in thine hand a handful of twigs, and strike therewith, and break not thine oath. Verily We! We found him patient. How excellent a bondman! Verily he was oft-returning. 44 Also, remember Our worshipers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, those of might and vision. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 And verily they are with us of the elect of the excellent ones. 47 And make mention of Ishmael and Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. All are of the chosen. 48 This is a reminder. And indeed, for the righteous is a good place of return 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are opened for them, 50 Wherein, reclining, they call for plenteous fruit and cool drink (that is) therein. 51 ۞ and wherein there shall be with them well-matched, bashful mates. 52 This it is that ye are promised for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Indeed this is Our sustenance, which will never end. 54 This (shall be so); and most surely there is an evil resort for the inordinate ones; 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 All this; so let them taste it - boiling water and pus, 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 [Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire." 59 They will say nay! it is ye, for whom there is no welcome: it is ye who have brought it upon us. Evil shall be the resting-place. 60 They will say: “Our Lord, give twofold punishment in the Fire to him who has led us to this.” 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 Did we take them (wrongly) for a laughing-stock, or have our eyes missed them? 63 All this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way. 64
