And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment. 41 (Allah said to him): "Strike the ground with your foot: This is a spring of water to wash in, cool and a (refreshing) drink." 42 And We gave him (back) his family, and along with them the like thereof, as a Mercy from Us, and a Reminder for those who understand. 43 "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)! 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 And they are with Us, verily, of the chosen and the best! 47 Recall Ismael, Elisha, and Dhulkifl (Ezekiel) who were all virtuous people. 48 This is a reminder; and most surely there is an excellent resort for those who guard (against evil), 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for plenteous fruit and drink. 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 'This is what you were promised for the Day of Reckoning; 53 Indeed, this is Our provision; for it there is no depletion. 54 This is so! And for the Taghun (transgressors, disobedient to Allah and His Messenger - disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, criminals, etc.), will be an evil final return (Fire), 55 Hell, where they will burn, an evil resting-place. 56 All of this; so let them taste it, boiling water and pus, 57 And other similar torments. 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], brought this upon us, and wretched is the settlement." 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 And they will say, "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we used to count among the wicked, 62 Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them? 63 This contending of the inmates of Hell will surely be real. 64
