Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them, the Most Mighty, the Most Forgiving.” 66 Say: "This is a momentous message, 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 (Tell them): “I had no knowledge of the High Council when they were disputing. 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed My spirit into him, prostrate yourselves before him." 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 Said he, 'I am better than he; Thou createdst me of fire, and him Thou createdst of clay.' 76 (Allah) said: "Then get out from here, for verily, you are outcast. 77 "And verily!, My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense." 78 But Satan said, "My Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection," 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 81 He (satan) said: 'I swear by Your Might, that I will seduce all of them 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 That I shall fill Hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together. 85 Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee for this, and I am no simulating. 86 This is only a warning for mankind. 87 and you shall surely know its tiding after a while.' 88
