Now whatever calamity may befall you [on Judgment Day] will be an outcome of what your own hands have wrought, although He pardons much; 30 And you cannot escape from Allah (i.e. His Punishment) in the earth, and besides Allah you have neither any Wali (guardian or a protector) nor any helper. 31 And among His signs are the ships that run on the sea like mountains and 32 Had He wanted, He could have stopped the wind and let the ships remain motionless on the surface of the sea, in this there is evidence (of the Truth) for all those who are patient and grateful, 33 Or He may destroy them (by drowning) because of that which their (people) have earned. And He pardons much. 34 But let those know, who dispute about Our Signs, that there is for them no way of escape. 35 So whatever you have been given is but a passing enjoyment for this worldly life, but that which is with Allah (Paradise) is better and more lasting for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and put their trust in their Lord (concerning all of their affairs). 36 And those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, and when they are angry, they forgive, 37 And those who answer the call of their Lord and establish prayer and whose affair being matter of counsel among themselves, and who of that wherewith We have provided them expend. 38 and who, when insolence visits them, do help themselves -- 39 The guerdon of an ill-deed is an ill the like thereof. But whosoever pardoneth and amendeth, his wage is the affair of Allah. Lo! He loveth not wrong-doers. 40 And whosoever harms after he has been harmed there is no blame upon them. 41 Blame lies on those who oppress, and terrorise the land unjustly. For them there is painful punishment. 42 But withal, if one is patient in adversity and forgives - this, behold, is indeed something to set one's heart upon! 43
