And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 at the hands of Pharaoh: he was a tyrant who exceeded all bounds. 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 there is nothing beyond our first death; we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back our fathers, if ye speak the truth! 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 A Day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all, nor shall they be helped. 41 Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 42
