Lo! Abraham was a nation obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the idolaters; 120 He was thankful to God for His bounties. God chose him and guided him to the right path. 121 We gave goodness to him in this world, and in the Everlasting Life he shall be amongst the righteous. 122 So We commanded you to follow the way of Abraham the upright who was not of idolaters. 123 The Sabbath was ordained only for those who differed about it. On the Day of Resurrection, your Lord will decide the differences that were between them. 124 Call (the pagans) to the path of your Lord through wisdom and good advice and argue with them in the best manner. God knows well about those who stray from His path and those who seek guidance. 125 And if you punish [an enemy, O believers], punish with an equivalent of that with which you were harmed. But if you are patient - it is better for those who are patient. 126 And endure you patiently (O Muhammad SAW), your patience is not but from Allah. And grieve not over them (polytheists and pagans, etc.), and be not distressed because of what they plot. 127 Verily Allah is with those who fear and those who are well-doers. 128
