Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
HaMeem. 1 This Book is revealed from God, the Majestic and All-wise. 2 There are signs in the heavens and the earth for those who believe: 3 And in the creation of yourselves and of the beasts that He hath scattered over the earth, are signs unto a people who are convinced. 4 And in the alternation of Night and Day, and the fact that Allah sends down Sustenance from the sky, and revives therewith the earth after its death, and in the change of the winds,- are Signs for those that are wise. 5 These are God's revelations, which We recite to you in all truth. But if they deny God and His revelations, in what message will they believe? 6 Woe unto every sinful self-deceiver 7 He hears the revelations of God which are recited to him, then persists in his arrogance as if he had not even heard them. Tell him that he will suffer a painful torment. 8 When he learns about some of Our revelations, he mocks them. Such people will suffer a humiliating torment. 9 Hell is behind them. Their worldly earnings shall not avail them, nor those whom they took as protectors instead of Allah. An awesome chastisement lies in store for them. 10 This (Quran) is a guidance. And those who disbelieve in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, for them there is a painful torment of Rijz (a severe kind of punishment). 11
